Leota Ann Skiles, 68, of Westwood, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA. She was the beloved wife of William L. Skiles with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Wayne A. and Leota G. Root Smith.
Leota was an area resident all her life. She was employed for 28 years by the Coatesville Area School District as a cafeteria cook. She was a member of the Westwood Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the Parkesburg VFW.
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children; Christina Ann Louise, wife of Dennis Sushinski of Atglen, Richard L. Skiles, Jr. and wife Lois of Quarryville and William Wayne Skiles and wife Victoria of Coatesville, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister; Louise Brownback.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg with a viewing from 10 to 11am. Interment will be private.
