Laverne S. Barlow, 72, of Landenberg, Pa., passed away at home on Tuesday, July 8th, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Darlene (Trivette) Barlow, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.
Born in Greeneville, TN, he was the son of the late Sarah J. (Walker) and James Barlow Sr.
He was employed at Fabricated Metals as welder in Modena.
Laverne is survived, in addition to his wife, by six children: Donna Smith (Steven) of
Toughkenamon, Mike Barlow of Johnson City, TN, Freida Moore (Gary) of Oxford, Dwayne Barlow (Mary) of Landenberg, Keith Barlow (Angela) of Midway, TN and Tammy Snyder (Chris) of Landenberg; 15 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; siblings Glenn Barlow of New London and Lorriane Armstrong of Oxford.
He was predeceased by one daughter Karen Barlow and ten siblings.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment at Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square. Viewing from 10 until 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made directly to the Wilde Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
