Lavania E. Wertz, 98, of Londonderry Township, died on Friday, March 24, 2017. She was the widow of the late Jacob Wertz who died in 1988.
Born in East Caln Township, she was the daughter of the late John and Bessie (Killinger) Adams. She had lived with her grandson, Glenn "T.J." Senter and his wife Brenda for the last 10 years of her life in Highland Township.
She is survived by two daughters, Elsie Henry of Coatesville and Bessie Finnefrock of Maryland; 31 grandchildren and a host of great and great, great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by four children: Jacob Wertz, Jr., Charles Wertz, Horace Adams and William Wertz; and siblings, Katherine, Mary, Elsie and John.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 31th at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg with a viewing from 10 until 11 AM. The interment will follow at the Friendship United Methodist Cemetery of Gum Tree.
