Kenneth Daniel "Danny" MacDonald, 78, of East Fallowfield, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 5, 2018. Born in Westwood, he was the son of the late Leonard MacDonald and Sylvia Thompson MacDonald. He was the beloved husband of Dawn Criswell MacDonald with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

Danny was a 1957 graduate of Scott High School. Following high school, Danny proudly served in the United States Navy for six years aboard the USS Canberra. He held a variety of jobs during the course of his life including work at Lukens Steel, Texas Eastern, and Chester County Pools.  He was a member of Penningtonville Presbyterian Church of Atglen.

Danny enjoyed boating, sailing his catamaran, scuba diving, traveling, and riding his Honda Goldwing.  Danny blessed his children with many things, one of those things was travel, taking them to 48 of the 50 states (he took Dawn to see all 50), taking them to Florida every year, and scuba diving from the catamaran.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Danny is survived in addition to his wife by four children, Danette Balistreri, wife of Michael of Cochranville, Danise Thompson, wife of Kurt of Atglen, Daniel MacDonald, husband of Cathy of Magnolia Delaware, and David Matthew MacDonald; and was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two siblings, Phyllis Caffrey and Micky MacDonald.

The memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 11th at 11 AM at Penningtonville Presbyterian Church, 406 Main St, Atglen, PA 19310 with the Rev. Craig Wiley officiating.  Visitation will take place from 10 am until the time of the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.  Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
