Kathryn E. Redcay

Kathryn E. Redcay, 91, of Holtwood, formerly of Cochranville, passed away at the home of her daughter on Monday, December 10, 2012. She was the wife of Henry A. Redcay of Quarryville with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Atglen, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Mary King Stoltzfus. 

Kathryn was lovingly cared for at the home of her daughter Loretta for the last four years. Mrs. Redcay and her husband previously lived in the Cochranville area where they operated a dairy farm for many years. Kathryn enjoyed reading and writing and she was an accomplished cook and seamstress. She was a member of the Millwood Mennonite Church and most recently had attended the Newlinville Mennonite Church of Coatesville. 
 
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by eight children; John Redcay of Tampa,Fl, Ruth Dormer of New Providence, Nathan Redcay of Cochranville, Anna Mary Smoker of Gap, Darrel Redcay of Cochranville, Loretta, wife of Jerry Gehman of Holtwood, Velma, wife of Frederick Landis of Darmar, KS and Glenda Martin of Leola, 20 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two siblings; Raymond Stoltzfus of Ephrata and Mary Stoltzfus of Atglen, She was preceded in death by two children Henry D. Redcay and Twila Stoltzfus and five siblings; Ruthella, Melvin, Herman, John and Alma.
 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11am at the Millwood Mennonite Church, Amish Rd., Gap, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church on Friday evening from 6 to 8pm and also Saturday morning from 10 to 11am. 
 
The family would like to gratefully thank caregivers Carol, Michelle, Carolyn, Sarah and Brandi, all from Special Care, for their tender loving care and assistance.
