Karen A. Engle, 59, wife of David E. Engle, Jr., of Honey Brook passed away on May 30, 2018 at her home.  She was the beloved wife of David E. Engle Jr., with whom she shared 44 years of love.  

Born in West Chester, Karen was the daughter of the late David Whitworth, Sr and Loretta Barkman Bingamin of Leola.  

She considered two other men as fathers, the late Arthur Martin, Sr and her step father, the late Harry Bingaman. 
 
She was a collector of seashells, butterflies, bells and was an avid couponer.  

Karen enjoyed going to the beach, watching the Phillies, yard sales, and watching "Ellen", but she especially enjoyed her grandchildren's laughter.  

She is survived, in addition to her mother and husband, by three children: Amy McCoy of Coatesville, Jason Engle of Coatesville, and Audrey Mayo, wife of Clifton, of Honey Brook; three grandchildren, Daniel McCoy, Lilly Mayo, and Dominic Mayo; two siblings, Arthur "Ed" Martin Jr., husband of Katie, of Honey Brook, and Elaine Sloan, wife of Marty, of Leola; and four half siblings, Robin Ferko, wife of Rick, of Phoenixville, Barb Wise, wife of Ken, of Royersford, Althea Otten, wife of Frank, of Exton, David Whitford, Jr. of Coatesville; and many nieces and nephews.    

She was predeceased by her brother Roger Martin.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Wilde Funeral Home at 11:00 AM.  A time of visitation will take place from 10:00-11:00.

We are saddened by Karen's passing, but know she is in a better place, free from pain and whole in body once more.

Karen was a dear, sweet niece, I have always loved her but because I live in Florida I never got to know her until the past 10 years and I have come to love her deeply. I am so saddened by her passing but I know she is not in pain anymore and I am looking forward to seeing her in heaven one day.
