Joseph H. Haines

Joseph H. Haines, 75, of Coatesville, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Neighborhood Hospice Center in West Chester. He was the widower of the late Sylvia I. Trimble Haines.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Alice Hoopes Haines and Oscar Haines. He served honorably in the US Army. He was most recently employed by Car Quest of Downingtown. Joe was a member of the American Legion of Parkesburg.

He is survived by his companion Edna Lacey, and three stepchildren, Jane Townsend of Coatesville, Shirley Collins of Lancaster and Albert Hanna of Lancaster; eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren; one brother, William Haines Sr. of Coatesville and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six siblings, Thelma Swift, Oscar Haines, Jr., Florence Haines, Alice May Baxter, Mary Harnish and Robert Haines.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Fairview Cemetery of Coatesville. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing from 10 until 11 AM.
