Jonathan L. Trego, 74, of Lancaster, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. He was the husband of Emilie Gable Trego with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Born in West Chester on June 6, 1935, he was the son of the late Haines and Ethel Snow Trego.
Jonathan was a heavy equipment mechanic most of his life and had been employed by Lyons and Hall of East Earl. He was an avid Phillies fan and he had also enjoyed playing baseball.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by five children; Jonathan L. Trego, Jr. and wife Thelma of Ocean City, NJ, Sheryl, wife of Ronald Jordan of Gap, Shellie Trego of Willow Street, Collette, wife of Warren Payne of Pottstown and Amie Trego, nine grandchildren, one great granddaughter, two sisters; Mary Lou Evans of West Chester and Carol Wilson of Monrovia, Ind. He was preceded in death by two children Kevin and Melinda and a brother Edward Trego.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11:00am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, Pa. followed by interment at the Faggs Manor Cemetery, Cochranville. Visitation from 10 to 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jonathan's memory to Lancaster County Hospice, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
