John Robert “Bob” Haworth

John Robert “Bob” Haworth, 83, of Paradise passed away at Newport Meadows Nursing Facility on Friday, December 16, 2022. Born in Sydney, Canada, he was the son of the late James V. Haworth and Dorothy (Kite) Haworth. He was the husband of the late Shirley (Price) Haworth.

Bob was the kind of man who always put others first. He had an open-door policy that extended beyond the home. When he was a store owner if you had no money for food you shopped for free.

He often worked multiple jobs to ensure his family had what they needed. He took his family of 6 on annual vacations which often included his children's friends.

At the dinner table, there was always room for one more. Bob often took advantage of this and brought people home for a hot meal. One Christmas eve he brought home a stranded Chesalovkian man that’s plane had been grounded at the Philadelphia airport due to weather to spend the night in our home.

Best of all Bob was a loving caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, etc. Bob held tight to family traditions such as the Yule Log and instilled great values and morals in his children. Bob will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by four children: Nancy Miller and husband David, Rickey Rieck and wife Kelly, Robin Owen Hammond, and Jeff Haworth and wife Dana. Additionally, he is survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
