John H. Purcell, 75 of West Chester died July 10, 2015.  Born December 4, 1939 he was the son of the late Ernest P. and Catherine (Raikowski) Purcell.

A graduate of Chester High, John previously resided in Chester, Ridley Township, and Lansdowne.  He served in the Air Force and Reserves.  John was a former member of Holmes Fire Co where he served as past president, fireman, and CPR instructor.  He was a master electrician and owner of Purcell Electric.

He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survived by four children, including Shawn (Donna) Purcell, and Andrea (Steve) Johnson; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother Ernest; sister Martha.
