Jean Larue Borrell, 85, of Atglen, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Lancaster General Hospital as the result of an auto accident. She was the wife of Francis "Pete" Borrell with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born in Rock Run, Valley Twp., Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Agustus and Beulah Addlesburger Nunemaker.
An area resident all her life, Jean was employed at the former Parkesburg Sewing Factory.
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son Charles March, four sisters, Thelma M. Brownback, Hilda R. McDonald, Beatrice MacNamee and Lillian Ziders and two brothers John and Robert Nunemaker.

I share my sincere sympathy with the family of Jean Borrell. As a child, Pete and Jean lived next to us and I have many fond memories of Jean. Christmas mornings would always come with a visit from "Aunt Jean" and "Uncle Pete" and she will be missed.

We would like to send our heartfelt sympathy to Pete. Jean and Pete were like Grandparents to my Daughter Jennifer when we lived in Parkesburg. They were Aunt Jean and Uncle Pete. We are thankful we got a chance to visit them 6 months ago. Jean was a beautiful person and she will be missed.
