Jack Lee Woods, 86, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Calvary Homes Health Center. He was the beloved husband of Judith E. Frey Woods with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Born in East Orange, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Glendon Lee Woods and Kathrine Frances Davenport Woods.

Jack was a graduate of the Franklin High School in Franklin, NJ. Later, he continued his education receiving a Masters of Education Degree at the State University of New York at Oswego in 1975.

He honorably served his Country in the US Army during the Cold War Era and was discharged in 1962.

Jack was employed, for over 20 years, as an industrial arts teacher at the Cato-Meridian Central Schools, in Cato, New York.  Before he moved to Pennsylvania, Jack was employed by the Syracuse Rescue Mission as the Director of Safety. He also served in various ministries over the years in every church he attended as well as Ontario Bible Camp and Conference in Oswego, NY. 

He is survived, in addition to his wife, Judith and by four children; Elizabeth L. Johnston (Philip) of Lancaster, PA, John L. Woods (Kristin) of Elizabethtown, PA, Thomas J. Woods (Valerie) of Depew, New York, and Jennifer S. Woods of Rochester, New York, and nine grandchildren, Jordan L Woods, Katie Johnston Segarra (Bryan), Kayla D. Woods, Jack P. Johnston, Evan T. Woods (Kirsten), Isaiah M. Kelly, Thomas J. Woods, Timothy J. Woods, and Grace A. Woods.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May, 11, 2024 at the Calvary Homes Crichton Chapel, 502 Elizabeth Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601 at 1:30 pm and a reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Victory Church, Lancaster;  Benevolence fund at Calvary Homes, Lancaster; or Ontario Bible Camp and Conference, Oswego, New York in his memory.
