Condolences

To the Williams family,

I am so sorry to hear of Gary's passing.  I have fond memories of our interactions when I was a young attorney working in law enforcement.   In the last several years he stopped by my office in West Chester occasionally and would bring his K-9 companion with him.  He was very dedicated to his job and was always a pleasure to be around.  He will be missed.  Please accept my condolences.

I had the pleasure of meeting Gary the night I was almost killed in a car accident caused by a drunk driver at the intersection of Rt 322 and Rt 82.  He was the nicest officer and went out of his way to be sure I was ok.  He offered assistance after the accident above and beyond.  I also recall Gary bringing in Rudy to South Brandywine school and to the old Flying Machine Cafe.

Just a stand up guy all around.

Rest in peace, Gary.  Thank you for your service.

So sorry to hear about Gary's passing.  First met him when our house was broken into on Lafayette road.  He became a friend for many years after that. Admired how he so brilliantly trained Rudy to be an excellent police dog.  Had many lunches with him at the airport cafe.  He was fun to be with and missed him after we moved out of state.  May he rest in peace.

So very sorry for your loss! Officer Williams was the best and I was happy to have him work in the townships I lived! funny story - He stopped me once when I was frantically trying to get my Altar servers to Mass on time! Hard nails attitude until he saw the cassocks flying in the window- let me go! Years later I would teach his 3 boys and see him often in his signature jump boots uniform with Rudy by his side. RIP Officer Gary Williams..GodSpeed

We met Gary many years ago from his interest in military history at the Ordinance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. We continued our friendship through cards, letters, calls  and holiday meals. We spoke on the phoneevery other week. After not hearing from him and a quick search on the internet led me to the sad news of Gary’s passing. We will miss Gary.                                        Annette & Lee from Aberdeen MD
