Elizabeth M. Wertz

Elizabeth M. Wertz, 72, of Honey Brook, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the widow of the late Howard Wertz, who passed away in 1997.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Edna Murphy Hilton and Parke S. Hilton Sr. An area resident her entire life, she was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church of Honey Brook.

She is survived by eight children: Betty Mae Stone of Coatesville, Howard Wertz Jr. of Pomeroy, William Wertz of Honey Brook, Jesse Wertz of Honey Brook, Michael Wertz of Coatesville, Sharon Wertz of Honey Brook, and Carol Wertz and Frederick Wertz, both of Roanoke, N.C.; five grandchildren, and three siblings, Mary Ann Bird of Hampton, Tn., Dorothy Vannoy of Kennett Square and Parke Hilton Jr. of Coatesville.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Friendship United Methodist Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held from 10 until 11 AM.
