Edith Louise S. Harris, 86, of Quarryville, died on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. She was the widow of Walter G. Harris who died last year. Born in West Grove, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Stella Scott Swayne. 
 
Louise was an area resident all her life. She was a member of the West Grove Presbyterian Church, where she had served, for 63 years, as a Sunday School and Good News Club teacher.
 
She is survived by four children; Joan E. Dautrich, wife of Charles, of Hamburg, PA, Joanne L. Ferroni, wife of John, of Chatham, Walter F. "Wally" Harris and wife Linda, of Lincoln University, Pa. and Karen H. Heald, wife of Timothy, of Wilmington, DE; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 10 siblings.
 
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 1pm from the Ellingsworth Auditorium, Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, 625 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville, PA. Interment will be private.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Child Evangelism of Chester County, 187 Country Club Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320

We were so sorry to hear of Jims passing. Such a wonderful person, He will truly be missed, especially by Dad. When they got together you never knew when they would stop talking. God Bless and Condolences sent to the Entire Wilde Family.

I have so many wonderful memories of Mrs. Harris. Kelton Road wouldn't have been the same growing up if not for her smiling face and delicous cookies! She will continue to be remembered fondly.
