Dale Sylvia Veith Boughton

Dale Sylvia Veith Boughton, age 85 of New Holland, PA passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024.

Dale was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on July 2, 1938 to the late Ferdinand ‘Fred’ Veith and the late Hazel Sylvia Marcy.

Dale was predeceased by the love of her life Eugene ‘Gene’ Sanford Boughton. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage until he passed in 2022. Dale is survived by her son Matthew Stephen Boughton of GA; her daughter Jennifer Sylvia Boughton Kochert of PA, wife of Sean Lee; her grandson Nicholas Matthew Boughton of FL; her granddaughters Samantha Rose Boughton of FL and Madison Sylvia Kochert of NC. Dale was predeceased by her brother Fred Stark Veith of FL.

Dale lived most of her childhood and adult life on beautiful Candlewood Lake in Danbury, CT. Dale loved traveling and being outside with all her animals, especially her horses. Dale loved the ocean, spending hours sitting at the beach, listening to the surf and watching sunsets with her husband Gene in Rhode Island and Florida.

Dale was a member of Bangor Episcopal Church in Narvon, PA. A private service will be held with burial at the Veith Family grave site in Ghent, NY where she will be laid to rest with Gene.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dale’s name would be welcomed at the Organization for Responsible Care of Animals, Lancaster, PA or the Pet Pantry, Lancaster, PA.
