Alice Linda Young, 80, of East Fallowfield, passed away on Saturday, March 12th, 2022 under the care of Chester County Hospital.  She was the widow of the late James Arnold Young, who passed away in 2009 after they had shared 41 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, Alice was the daughter of the late Mary and Albert Brosius.  She was a graduate of Coatesville High School and Goldey-Beacom College.  Alice worked in customer service at Wyeth for over 25 years.

She loved eating sweets and drinking Pepsi and Manischewitz wine.  She also enjoyed eating crabs at Tillman Island.  Alice frequented yard sales, where she'd often buy knickknacks, costume jewelry and antiques.

While she was able, Alice was a committed volunteer at the Salvation Army in Coatesville.  She had a generous heart and would give away her belongings to anyone who needed them.

Alice is survived by four grandchildren, including Christian Sweigart, and his wife Shelina, of Coatesville, who helped Alice during her decline, and her granddaughter Amy.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Tami Sweigart.

Interment at Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements by the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.
