Jan Marie John Gordon, 67, of Gap, PA, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 10, 2024.  Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence L. and Edna Geraldine "Jeri " (White) John, and step-daughter of Janis John of West Chester, PA.

Jan was a 1974 graduate of Octorara High School and was employed as a daycare worker and as a dance instructor at Jeri Jon’s Studios in Gap.

She is survived by her partner of 24 years, Donald Jennings of Gap, daughters, Heather (Doug) Hill of Hamburg, PA, Amanda (Brad) Dreier of Cortez, CO, and Tami (Kevin) Kenney of Downingtown, PA, grandchildren, Madison, Christian, Sophia, Michaela, Brendan, Aiden, Makenna, and Alexa, and siblings, Garry John of Milton, DE, Jennifer (Gary) Laub of Bethlehem, PA, Sherri (Greg) Browne of Douglassville, PA, Jeffrey (Shirley) John of Concord, NC, and Eric John of West Chester, and Step-Mother, Janis John of West Chester.

Jan will be remembered as a fighter. She had battled through the last 42+ years of life with Rheumatoid Arthritis along with other health complications that came along, but this did not deter her from living and loving to the fullest. Her passions were of many, her grandchildren, her love of animals including her own beloved Lily, weekends binging Marvel movies and tv shows with her grandson, and she loved and adored watching her granddaughters dance. She was loved by many and will be missed tremendously by her loved ones.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.

I have many memories of our childhood together, She was warm, loving, and a great friend to this only child. When we were 8yrs and 10 yrs we cut our fingers with some pieces of old broken glass we found on the farm, and became blood sisters! Love you Jannie, cousin Sheryl Ann

It’s hard to find the words that might bring comfort when they seem so small compared to the loss your family is feeling. I can’t imagine the sadness you must be feeling from her departure. Please know that I am here for you, sharing in your sorrow and wishing I could bring you all some solace during this painful time. Always missed, but never forgotten.
