Condolences

To Joan, Erik, and all the family, I send my sincerest sympathy for your tragic loss of Kathi. I last spoke with her at the family reunion in Essington at the seaplane base. It was summer of 1999 or so. So, we were not close, nor in touch, yet she was family and I loved her from afar. May your hearts be comforted knowing she is with the Lord in her heavenly home. My husband Bob and my 4 grown children, Rob, Dwight, Dave, and Lydia, join me in passing along our sadness and empathy to all the extended family. Helen Dix Steward, a cousin.

I was saddened to hear of Kathi's passing.  Her grandfather was my mother's brother.  We had some good times as kids but haven't had much contact since then.  It has been over 40 years since I have seen her mother.  I have fond memories of Joan from long ago.  I send my condolences to Joan, Norman, Linda and Kim as well as to Kathi's husband and children.  I am sorry that we never met but life took us in different directions.  Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother and your grandmother.  Please hold tight to the good memories - she will always be in your hearts.

I was sad when my dad (Michael Ratzlaff) told me Friday night about the accident, Brent getting hurt and Kathi passing away. I remember the random trip they made to Arkansas to visit us a few months after my mom passed away. For three nights in a row we went to eat at The Cookery at the truck stop called Flying J. We got to catch up and have a good time together. I remember in New Mexico, we always went to the mountains to camp and the dads and boys went to hunt and going to the lake. Erik, Erik Jr., Tara, Bryan and Brent you all are in our prayers. Speaking for my dad and myself.
