Michael Anthony Hernandez

Michael Anthony Hernandez, 58, of Landenberg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the Christiana Hospital, Wilmington, DE. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Barrett-Hernandez with whom he shared 30 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Patsy P. Hernandez and Norma A. Simmers Hernandez.

 

Michael was a Chester County resident all his life and a 1979 graduate of the Coatesville Area High School. He and his wife owned and operated Hair Obsessions in Kennett Square, PA.

 

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two children; Taylor G. Hernandez and Shane M. Hernandez both at home, three sisters; Linda Hernandez of Downingtown, Cindy Charriez of Coatesville and Anna Tracey of Ercildoun and two step sisters, Sharon Mueller of Coatesville and Carol Snyder of Pottsville. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Patsy and Larry Simmers.

 

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Fallowfield Friends Meetinghouse, 800 Doe Run Road, Coatesville, PA 19320 with visitation from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Fallowfield Friends Meeting at the above address, or the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
